New York, NY – St. Mary Magdalen Orthodox Church is thrilled to invite you to participate in our first annual festival for St. Mary Magdalen, our parish’s patroness and intercessor. Festivities in honor of this great saint will begin on Sunday, July 20 after the usual Divine Liturgy with face painting and other family-friendly activities.
All-Night Vigil for St. Mary Magdalen will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 21. The akathist to St. Mary Magdalen will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, with the Divine Liturgy scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. An agape celebration will following, including live music from Alexander “Sandy” Ortega on the classical Spanish guitar.
Festivities will continue that evening at 6:30 p.m. with movie trivia and cocktails. The film Seven Samurai will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
