Agape (coffee hour) sign-up

I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh (Jn 6:51).

At the Liturgy, we take that which God gave us, the wheat and grapes, prepare them, and offer them back to the Lord. He accepts our sacrifice of praise, transforming them by His Holy Spirit for our salvation and the life of the world.

The agape (coffee hour) is the extension of our Liturgy together, a time to share fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, to strengthen each other in the way, and to share the good news of the Faith with newcomers. Each week, some of us sacrificially give of our time to prepare a meal for the entire parish, and others to clean up after the meal.

We have agape meal teams of 1–3 families that operate in a rotation, as well as separate clean-up teams. To be added to the agape or clean-up schedule, reach out to our Coffee Czar, Breana Moore: smmcoffeehourczar@gmail.com.

Fr. Matthew recommends that everyone at the parish be involved in an agape team or clean-up team.

“That he may bring forth food from the earth
and wine to gladden the heart of man,
oil to make his face shine
and bread to strengthen man’s heart.”
Psalm 104
