On Saturday, November 15, at 12 PM, an icon painting class will be led by Liviu Vasu at St. Mary Magdalen. Mr Vasu is an iconographer and artist of Romanian heritage who lives in Manhattan, is a parishioner of the 2nd Street Cathedral, and owns an art gallery in the East Village.
He will be teaching how to paint in the Romanian Glass Icon style, which is ideal for beginners and those with little artistic experience.
The workshop will last approximately 3 hours and comes with a suggested donation of $35. If you would like to attend, please register by emailing Nate Ijams at admin@saintmarymagdalen.nyc.
